ATTENDING EVENTS/FUNCTIONS

It is requested that anyone wishing to attend events or functions, at Pennant Community Centre, should send a notification on email: cympencon@gmail.com or phone or text 07967116632. This is so that we can set the rooms out for the numbers attending. Numbers permitted can vary for events/groups.

This will be required for the foreseeable future as we will be restricted on how many persons that can attend. We will still need to maintain social distancing and the use of masks, under health and safety, to protect all visitors and volunteers.

NEW MILKMAN

We have a new milkman taking on the round in and around Pennant. If you require milk why not try your local milkman based in Pennant.

If you wish to order milk please contact Caerwyn Evans on 07410-451924.

Only delivering milk at the present time but further items may be offered for delivery at a later date.

LITTER PICK

The litter pick, on Friday 6th August, 2021, was very well supported and fortunately there was not a great deal collected. This was probably due to winds that had blown the lighter pieces of litter away. Also, with very overgrown verges, more will probably become evident when they are cut.

Litter picks are always worthwhile as they illustrate the communities pride in where they live. Next time we may be able to have some refreshments and a social get together afterwards.

REGULAR GROUPS & EVENTS

There has been no update from the Pilates, Pubs, Stitchers, and Welsh Conversation Group as to when they will re-commence.

A further decision will be made about other regular events, Bingo, Film Nights, Quiz Nights and food evenings following any further announcements, concerning COVID regulation and guidance changes. Any changes, if any, are due to come into force from 7th August.

WALKING/RAMBLING GROUP

We previously had a group that arranged walks in and around the area. We did have a volunteer to organise future walks but the ‘lockdowns’ prevented any taking place. If anyone is interested in co-ordinating any walks could they please contact the newsletter editor.

USE OF COMMUNITY CENTRE

Following the completion of the works at the Community Centre, in November 2019 we have been attracting a lot of interest in using the facilities.

We would always look to support new community led groups or functions but, would also have to consider all other applications so that your Centre is fully utilised to cover running costs and expenditure.

Members are able to book a room for £6.00 per hour, £10.00 for non-members & commercial hires. There would be further charges for the use of another room or the use of the extensive kitchen facilities. Charges would also relate to use of electrical equipment, projectors and computer.

If you have any ideas or queries for groups or functons, to be held at your Community Centre, please contact the newsletter editor.
